Great Memories at MacErin

In October, 2009, Ralph Hill, a champion eventer, traveled to Michigan from his home in Florida to conduct a clinic at MacErin Equestrian Centre. MacErin had extended the invitation through trainer, Andrea Vinson, and was honored to have Mr. Hill accept.
A total of 16 riders participated in one of 4 levels of classes – beginner, novice, preliminary and training. Saturday’s work concentrated on Dressage and gymnastics, with Sunday’s classes centering on course work. Ralph was passionate in telling stories as a preview to each session citing lessons he learned about riding horses as a young man. He captured the hearts of riders and spectators with his knowledge and persona.
Ralph Hill has ridden in the Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event for over three decades. In 1978, he competed in the World Championships and finished fourth with Sergeant Gilbert.

Trust, respect, and confidence are the fundamentals in communicating with your horse according to Tim Scarberry, known around town as the “Horse Whisperer.” Tim visited MacErin Equestrian Centre on June 20, 2009, to share his knowledge of natural horsemanship. As spectators grew silent, and watched in awe, Tim put into action what he preaches as he rode his horse, Top Secret, to the top of the trailer, stood on his horse, and cracked a whip. Of course, Top Secret, did exactly what his leader asked of him – stood quietly and cooperated willingly.
The clinic continued by addressing questions from boarders and friends of MacErin. Traveling and teaching is something Tim enjoys. “This is a blessing and a privilege,” said Tim. You can visit his website at www.windwalkertraining.com
